Oh, my heart is so happy over this!  Because this is MY baby’s Heirloom Keepsake Box.  The day this treasure arrived at my doorstep this week was like Christmas!  I can’t wait to fill it with special reminders of his first years and the things that he loves……in the little glass vials, a curl from his first haircut (can you see it?), yarn from his beloved baby blanket made by his grandmother, a snippet of his first scribbles, a flower he picked for me.   Favorite photographs of him as he grows will be placed within the handmade leather wrap. Handwritten notes from his family, telling him stories of our love and memories of his sweet personality, will be safely kept.  With plenty of space, the possibilities are endless for the mementos this heirloom can hold.  As the days and years pass, priceless moments will take their place here and not be forgotten.  It does my heart good to know we are preserving and passing down our son’s history, the beginning of his legacy for his children…..and their children……in such a beautiful way.  What an incredible gift.
